D.P.D. Capsule

Delivering hard-to-penetrate ingredients deep within the skin through encapsulation
D.P.D. capsules are tiny capsules consisting of layers of PEG12GD, a skin-friendly component, with active age-fighting ingredients. This patented technology has difficult-to-penetrate ingredients packaged in nanocapsules that allows them to be delivered deep within the skin (*).

Shape and Mechanism

D.P.D. Capsules—A multiple-capsule system designed to deeply penetrate the skin
D.P.D. capsules are a multi-layer capsule system consisting of active ingredients encapsulated inside a skin-friendly layer called PEG12GD. Each D.P.D. capsule is about 100 nanometers in diameter, and has about seven to ten onion-like layers of both water- and oil-soluble active ingredients. As the capsules are absorbed by the skin, their soft-lipid film construction allows them to change shape and size, gradually melting and becoming smaller, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin (*).

How They Penetrate the Skin
Water- and Oil-Soluble Capsules that Slowly Dissolve
D.P.D. Capsules, made of skin-friendly materials, change their shape and size as they penetrate the skin (*)
Consisting of onion-like layers that are alternatively water- and oil-soluble, D.P.D. capsules slowly release active ingredients as they enter the skin, peeling off one layer at a time. By being able to fit into small gaps, these capsules also allow for the penetration of large or unstable molecules.

If the molecule is too large, it will not penetrate the skin but remain on its surface.

If D.P.D. capsules are used, the molecules can work their way between the cells and deep into the skin.
Active Ingredients are released over time / in stages (*)
As the capsules work their way into your skin, the outer layers slowly dissolve, releasing active ingredients little by little. In this way, you can ensure even penetration to the depths of your skin.

Skin-Friendly Ingredients
While these capsules are suitable for any active ingredient, where they really shine is when used with delicate ingredients such as those that are easily oxidized, degraded, or are hard to be absorbed (*). If ingredients such as these are used in conjunction with D.P.D. capsules, they can penetrate the skin deeply and give your skin the boost it needs.

Liposomes

There are two issues with liposomes
Liposomes, used in a wide variety of cosmetic products to encapsulate products, have some issues with them. First, the phospholipids used to form the capsules can be both variable in size and fragile. Second, there are concerns about their manufacturing—specifically about the safety of the solvents used in the manufacturing process.
Summary
An effective delivery system for unstable skincare ingredients
D.P.D. capsules overcome the weaknesses of liposomes and enable the safe and effective delivery of active ingredients to the depths of the skin (*). Through them, unstable or large molecules, such as those that are fragile or can easily oxidize, can also be delivered. If you have given up on such ingredients in the past, believing that they didn't work, you should try it again using a product with a D.P.D. capsule delivery system.
